Synopsis: 101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation brings together 101 of the most well-known and beloved Bible stories. Written for young independent readers and with colorful artwork, this storybook Bible is sure to become a favorite. Each story is one page in length and features a picture depicting the main character or event of the story. Both story and artwork can also provide perfect springboards for further family or child and parent discussion of the rest of the story and its impact on our faith.
Review: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
When I saw this children's Bible Story book, I couldn't wait to see how my kids would like it. After all, they are better at reviewing children's books from a kid's perspective than I am. Within this relatively small book (in comparison to the amount of stories it has in it), each story is broken down into very simple language that covers one page's worth of reading. Next to the story itself is a beautiful illustration of part of the story. The cover illustration comes from Jonah and the Whale. The illustrations are colorful and my kids, 8 and 5, absolutely loved looking at them.
At this point, my 5 year old can't read, but the stories are short enough where her older sister could read them to her, and she would listen from beginning to end. The older one begged me last night to have it so she could read them before she went to bed, and she fell asleep reading. I read a few of the stories myself, they are in a very easy language for early independent readers (like my 8 year old) to read, and they are short enough where they don't get bored reading it.
