- Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
- If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
- Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"

Q: What have you learned from book blogging that you didn't know before about the publishing industry?
I'm probably dating myself by typing this, but when I was writing (read: 20 years ago in high school), there really was no self-publish, unless you had a ton of money. So when I started book blogging, and getting ARCs (another new one for me) for reviews (what? you mean you'll give me your book to read for free and all I have to do is write a review? -- another new one!), I was completely blown away. Now, I love reading all these awesome (and some not so awesome) books and letting people know about them.
Love your response! Yes, I too was blown away about getting free books and reviewing them.

Thanks for stopping by Vonnie!
DeleteYeah ARCs were a whole new experience for me as well! Was blown away at the idea of getting a book months before it released to read!!
ReplyDeleteOf course now I know the downfall...if you don't stay on an ARC list, your wait for the next book is even longer! lol!

DeleteHi Kristin!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by Pages :D Yeah, I remember talking to my Dad when I was younger (like 6-ish) and I told him about my dreams to be a published author. And he told me "We can talk to a publishing company, but you might have trouble"
"Then I'll publish it myself"
He told me that it was really expensive and difficult to self-publish, but I never realised that now I can actually self-publish for very little. Times have changed!
Following back :D
