Book Tour

Nigel survives a car crash, while his whole family perishes in the accident. With the help of his later-to-become girlfriend Vicky, he overcomes the tragedy and makes his way to college. As they are about to graduate, Vicky convinces him to embark on a strange project involving crystals and magick, with a "k" (meaning real magic). Little did they know that this project would open for them the gates of other dimensions including the world of the gods, the world of the muses and the demons, the world of the dead and many more. But why were they called there?

Review: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The book is a fantasy book that melds many different mythos with a storyline of the ultimate good versus evil. Two scientists start a project in measuring and changing the vibrational qualities of different crystals. From there, they are transported to different vibrational levels of existence to help with the battle between good and evil. The author writes rather well, descriptively enough for my to have pictured the different scenes and storyline.
The biggest problem that I feel the book has is that there are so many myths and different belief systems that are melded into this one book, it detracts from the storyline rather than enhancing it. From crystal magick to Thoth to angels to Apollo, it was just so mashed up together that instead of making a beautiful beef stew, it seemed to make a tasteless mush. I couldn't put my head into one mythos and just stay there.
Ultimately, this could be a great story, it just needs less individual ingredients.
